Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. Your enrollment in the program requires your acceptance of these conditions.

Tuition Fee

Tuition fees quoted on this website and all price quotes via email or telephone include Resident Student Tuition Discount (for students residing in accommodation owned or managed by Coeur de France) unless we state otherwise in writing.
Discounts: Discounts are exclusively for Resident Students (students staying in Coeur de France accommodation). Discounts include, but are not limited to: Resident Program Discount, Multiweek Program Discount. Fees quoted on the website include the Resident Program Discount, therefore, non-resident students should add 150 euros per week (per student) to the fees quoted on the website. Resident Student Tuition Discount may or may not be cumulative with certain other discounts (your price quote will specify this); all other discounts are not. Special promotional discounts are not cumulative. Special promotional discounts are not retroactive to already registered and confirmed programs. There will be no course on French public (“bank”) holidays. Tuition fee for courses not conducted on public holidays is adjusted for private courses (One to One, Children’s One to One, 2:1). Courses will not be made up and are not refundable. Banks holidays are here. Coeur de France is closed 2 weeks every year for the Christmas holidays (approximately December 20 through January 1).

Registration, Books and Materials Fee

There is an 115 euro fee per person for registration, books and materials. If your program includes progressing to a higher level (e.g., Beginner to Intermediate), additional books cost 60 euros.

Accommodation Reservations

We will contact you with details regarding your choice of accommodation. Weekly accommodation in self catering apartments is based on Saturday arrival and departure.

Confirmation

Resident Students (residing in Coeur de France accommodation): Coeur de France will contact you regarding a confirmation deposit (prepayment) of 50% of your total program fees (tuition + accommodation). The balance of fees is due 60 days prior to your arrival. If you are registering less than 60 days prior to arrival, the total amount is required to confirm the program.

Non Resident Students (i.e, students not residing in Coeur de France accommodation): 100% payment is required to confirm your program.

Payment Methods

Coeur de France will provide you with a payment link for secure payment of deposit and fees online (MasterCard and Visa) or by wire transfer. Please note: Due to demand the payment links are valid for 48 hours only.

Final payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. PLEASE NOTE: A late charge of 10 euros per day (starting on the 3rd day after due date) will be applied to the balance due. If the balance due is not received within 7 days following the due date, the reservation will be cancelled, no refund of the deposit is possible and your space is offered to students on our waiting list.

Postponement, Cancellation and Refund Policy

COVID – RELATED (travel restrictions, closure)
 
Cancellation: 100% refund, waiver of 100 euro Cancellation Fee. Postponement: Possibility to reschedule for a future date within 2 years, waiver of Postponement Fee. If your final payment has not yet been made, it becomes due in order to confirm the new date.
 
STANDARD CANCELLATION / POSTPONEMENT POLICIES
 
Cancellations / postponement that are not related to Covid pandemic are subject to our customary cancellation / postponement policies. Change of reservation dates for courses or accommodation (including postponement), or change of accommodation, are subject to a 100 euro fee and must be made before arrival. If you need to postpone or cancel your class enrollment and/or your accommodation, you may notify Coeur de France by email. We will reply confirming your postponement or cancellation and our email reply serves as your proof of notification to us.

POSTPONEMENTS

Postponements (change of dates) are subject to the 100 euro Change of Program fee (except changes for Covid related issues).

You may postpone for another date for a new program to begin as far as 12 months from the original program date. All fees (100%) that you have paid will be credited to the cost of the new program and accommodation (of course if the new program and accommodation cost more than your original booking, you will need to pay the difference). If your final payment has not yet been made, it becomes due in order to confirm the new dates.

CANCELLATION

All cancellations (except Covid related) are subject to the 100 euro cancellation fee.

If notice of cancellation is received before your final payment (which is due 60 days prior to arrival), Coeur de France will retain from your refund amount the 100 euro cancellation fee +10% of the total fee amount (program, accommodation, registration, all books and materials) of the week(s) you are cancelling. If cancellation is after the final payment is made (less than 60 days prior to arrival), no refund is possible. Refunds for cancellation requests made between the 1st and the 15th day of the month are processed on the last day of the month in which the request was made; refunds for cancellation requests made after the 15th day are processed the last day of the following month.

Classes are weekly, Monday – Friday. Once a program has started it is deemed to be completed and no refund nor credit can be given for unattended lessons, weeks or courses, in whole or in part, nor can refunds of accommodation fees be made in whole or in part. All litigation is presented and heard at the Tribunal d’Instance de Bourges, (Cher) France. There are no classes on French public holidays and tuition cost for weeks with holidays is adjusted for all private classes (One to One, Children’s One to One, Family course and 2:1 course).

Insurance

SARL Coeur de France, its employees and agents will not be held responsible for any losses, damages, or injuries caused during any program or extra-curricular activity. The student/client is solely responsible for his/her own health, accident, liability, travel, cancellation and personal insurance. Student/clients are advised to obtain all appropriate travel, medical and cancellation insurance in their country of origin before departure.

Use of Image

Coeur de France may video or photograph students on courses or extra-curricular activities and use these videos and photographs on its promotional materials (website, brochures, video, etc). By accepting our terms and conditions, the student expressly authorizes Coeur de France to publish images for a limited period of 15 years after the initial publication of the photograph or video. In case of refusal of dissemination, student should inform Coeur de France in writing.

Data Protection

Coeur de France collects and processes data to manage student registration and follow up. This data is reserved for internal use only. French data protection law (January 6 1978 amended in 2004) gives you the right to access and rectify your personal information and you can exercise this right by writing to office@coeurdefrance.com.

Number of Students

Maximum number of students in Group class is 8. In rare cases, an exception may be made for 1 additional student per Group. Under-enrollment: If 2 students are enrolled in a particular Group class, the class will meet for 17 hours per week; if 1 student, 14 hours per week.

Your obligations

The student/client is required to observe program regulations. Any person whose attitude is determined by Coeur de France to be disruptive or incompatible with Coeur de France may be expelled from the school without reimbursement.
